The In-Laws
Just got back from a little R&R with Julia, Tuck and the In-laws in Hattiesburg, which is about an hour's drive from the production office. Got caught up on some much needed sleep as we continue to try and fill in our last casting slot to round out the "ensemble" on Solstice. The role of Sofie is small, but one of the most powerful in the film. Finding the right girl to not only have a resemblance to our lead actress, Elisabeth Harnois, but having the chops to pull off the scenes has been a challenge. We've found one or the other qualities, but as of yet, not both. This coming week will be the test. We MUST find her within the next few days or I may have to throw on a wig and do the role myself, and believe me, you don't want that.
We also start casting for our extras tomorrow (Monday). Basically, the bulk will consist of a bunch of high school seniors that populate our "party house" scene. I imagine this won't be too difficult if these kids were anything like we were growing up.
