Tucker-bot

Just got off the iChat with Julia, my wife. Our son, Tucker, who is now pushing 6 months is on the cusp of crawling. He’s made squirming under our butcher-block table in the kitchen his new pastime. When he manages to figure out the whole, right, left, right, left thing, I have a feeling our loft in Old Town is going to get a whole lot smaller.

Dave Mullen, the DP, and I have started working through the script, shot by shot. So far, it’s been wonderful brainstorming with him. It’s like having a walking cine-file/encyclopedia/Godzilla fan in the room with you at all times. Between him and my internet connection I can answer just about any question posed to me in record time. Go ahead ask me one.

The plan now is to shoot this thing on Super 35. We want a widescreen, cinematic look for this show and a “moody” color palette as well. Not sure what “moody” means, but I’ll know it when I see it….or at least “Encyclo-man” will know it when he sees it.

Ask Dave Mullen this...

He drops a quarter to the floor. The distant between the quarter and floor divides itself repeatedly as it falls.

Because division is infinite, at what point does the quarter rest to stop? Can it?

Ah, the infamous Density Principle.

Think of it as the inverse of Bush's deficit spending.
