Production Day 22
The Party House.
This is the location we almost lost. For a brief time, the owner got a little spooked and pulled out right in the middle of production. Thanks to Johnny and Phil, they were able to convince them that we weren't going to destroy their lovely home.
So far, so good.
This is a huge day for us, because we not only have to shoot green screen, split screen for the Megan/Sofie fight out front, but we have a ton of shots to do inside, all with 50 or 60 party extras running around.
The beauty is, we don't have to sit in the mud and misquotes anymore. I look around and see a lovely garden district neighborhood, complete with friendly neighbors, cool breeze and zero mud. Love it. What a difference it makes in your attitude not to have to spray four layers of Off on your body the moment you walk onto set.
Inside the house is perfect. We knocked off some long steadi-cam runs that wind their way through the party, all from Megan's perspective. We're faking Christmas here, so not only is the interior all decked out in holiday cheer, but the outside street is as well. Once again, Bruton, Julie and Martha did a bang up job.
Time for more trail mix.
